Aw, thanks~
Oh, I find inspiration just everywhere! I spend an embarrassing amount of time on the internet looking at both drawn things, like illustrations and comics, as well as actual sewn work. Comics are a big one for me! I originally started sewing because my parents bought me lessons, but I didn't sew at all until I learned about the cosplay scene- there were so many beautiful costumes in my favorite comics that I wanted to wear, but I couldn't just buy, so I taught myself to pattern and slowly improved my sewing. In college I joined my university theatre's costume shop, where the costuming director took me under her wing and I learned lots of new techniques and learned the basics of design. I spend a whole lot of time daydreaming about clothes, ha ha! If I ever see anyone wearing anything interesting, a lot of times I'll try to figure out how it's made in my head or do a quick sketch so I don't forget, and a lot of times I end up mashing designs together into something different, taking a bit here and a bit there to get the look I want.
